Shah Rukh Khan is fast in creating a record of a new kind — every film in which he makes a special appearance is sinking without a trace. And the recent
Dulha Mil Gaya too seems to be jinxed due to this. The film, starring
Fardeen Khan and
Sushmita Sen, has
SRK in an extended cameo. To add to the film’s woes,
Khan has been distancing himself from the film and producer
Vivek Vaswani is a worried man now.
Distributors who queued up to buy the film’s rights after learning that it has SRK in it, have all allegedly backed out after watching the film. Some who have paid their advance say they feel cheated. The film, directed by Sushmita Sen’s boyfriend Mudassar Aziz, is said to be an average product and producers are not willing to pay Rs 12 crore.
In fact, Shah Rukh Khan has made many appearances in flops like Priyadarshan’s Billu, Aziz Mirza’s Kismat Konnection (narrator), Samar Khan’s Shaurya (narrator), Ravi Chopra’s Bhoothnath, Arjun Rampal’s I See You,
Subi Samuel’s Alag, Vashu Bhagnani’s Silsilay (narrator), Karan Johar’s Kaal, Boney Kapoor’s Shakti — The Power’, Samar Khan’s Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye, MF Husain’s Gajagamini, Raj Kanwar’s Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram, Basu Chatterjee’s Gudgudee, Army and Mehmood’s Dushman Duniya Ka, among others. The only exception was Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy, which went on to become a hit.
