Director Shankar and actor Surya launched the audio of 'Paiyya' at Satyam Cinemas. Though, the event had biggest celebrities, it was a moment of annoyance for the special invitees as the program kick-started just at 7.45.

Couple of songs - Thuli Thuli and Adada Mazhaida was screened along with film's trailer. Most of the songs sounded to be a repeated act of 'Sandaikozhi' and 'Run'. 'Adada Mazhaida' sounded like a polished version of 'Thavani Potta Deepavali' from ' Sandakozhi'.

The chief guests, who spoke on the dais congratulated Lingusamy for having made such a gripping film.

But Mysskin was more infuriated with the fans of Surya and Karthi, who were expressing their elatedness through applauses and whistles for the actors. Especially, the filmmaker got aggravated when a fan was continuously laughing at him from the balcony and immediately warned him to stop it.
