Bipasha Basu has come a long way since she stepped into the industry eight years ago with the Abbas-Mustan thriller, Ajnabee. And the actress says she has worked hard enough to reach the place she has secured for herself today. “This is what I love about my life. After so many years of hard work, I can choose my films now,” she says.

Talking about her upcoming political thriller with Priyadarshan, Bipasha says, “I have heard so much about the way the South film industry functions and this is my first film with a South Indian director. The experience has been fabulous.”

The film also stars Priyadarshan regulars like Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal and Bipasha’s All the Best co-star, Ajay Devgn.

The actress who has been working non-stop on her films, is now on a brief vacation. “It is important for me to keep taking these small holidays. I don’t believe in shooting round the year,” she adds.

Apart from relaxing, Bipasha is making use of her break to give finishing touches to the interiors of her new house. “My house needs my attention. There has been no respite. After all the repair work was done, there was a water leakage. And now when that has been fixed, it is my air conditioning that is acting up. I hope after this, I never have to call any technician,” she quips.
