Anil Kapoor's film Shortcut: The Con Is On has undergone last-minute editing to cut a Michael Jackson joke producers deemed offensive following the singer's death.

The decision was made after actor Arshad Warsi screened the film to his family the day after 50-year-old Jackson died, reports the Mumbai Mirror.

Warsi realised that the final scene, which parodies Jackson's famous dancing style, was no longer appropriate.

A source told the newspaper: "The scene was initially intended to bring some comic relief. Arshad called up director Neeraj Vora and insisted that he delete the scene.

"Anil agreed to cut out the scene regardless of the additional costs he'd have to incur… We couldn't have been insensitive to Michael Jackson."
