K S Ravikumar directed
Aadhavan, produced by
Udayanidhi Stalin, has been censored and given a clean U certificate.
The buzz on the film is positive and the censors confirmed what Surya said in his media interactions that there is no blood and gore in the film, though it is an action packed family entertainer.
Aadhavan is opening big worldwide in 600 screens plus, with Tamil Nadu alone accounting for nearly 350 of them. In Chennai city, the film is opening in 15 screens, with advance booking likely to start from October 14, as the film has confirmed that it is coming out only on Diwali day (October 17).
Earlier, trade had wanted the film to open on Friday, October 16, so that it could cash in on an extra day before the big weekend. But director Ravikumar says as per sentiments, his films releasing for Diwali day has worked best for him (Villain, Godfather), so he wanted the release date pushed by a day.
