Anu Maliik is one of the most successful and versatile music directors of today. He was born to veteran music director Sardar Malik. He was born on November 02, 1957. He has two brothers Daboo and Abu Malik. He started his career as a music director with the film Hunterwali 77 in 1978. Music was in his blood. He went through long and arduous struggle. He got his major breakthrough in 1993 with Mahesh Bhatt\'s film Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aayee for which he composed two songs Tere Dar Par Sanam… and Baadalon Mein Chhup Gaya…. He became popular among public with the music of Hindi films like Baazigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari , Akele Hum Akele Tum, Virasat, etc. He is married to Anju and has 2 daughters. His younger daughter Anmol made her singing debut with the film Umrao Jaan in 2006. He has also done playback singing and has a couple of Indipop albums to his credit. His sheer talent that has carried him along for more than 25 years in Bollywood and he is rated as one of the most successful music directors in the business.
